hi y'all is mysterious and bringing you text in to see tonight now y'all this was a very hard time hard decision for mr. Pearson to pick him up but I did choose one of our new book is called chicken talk where we get started with chicken talk I just wanted you to know we have available in our library for you to check out one of our books let me borrow that one of her favorite book she brought me when she realized I was going to be reading about chicken talk so let's get started with our story tonight and like I said it's called chicken talk and it's written by Patricia MacLachlan illustrated by Jared Carrasco Otis and his wife Abby love their chickens their children Willie and Vale all in all there were 11 hens Citrix call Trixie Grace busy and the Seven white feather Joyce's named after Abby's mother Joyce white chickens Joyce Joyce Joyce Joyce Joyce Joyce Joyce who protected his hands from the foxes Hawks and weasels add made in salads with fresh Light arugula from her garden she collected there eggs in the hen house the neighbors like that they had their favorite hens William Bell read books at William Vale when they told stories every day Willy let the chickens out of their Big Ten so they could scratch in the dirt for bugs and dirt love being out and about hey bro worked in the yard watching for danger and sometimes sit on the porch chairs and looked out over the meadow like elegant ladies one morning Willie had a great shot he called come quickly no ran from the garden you write that it's a bell or Papa only the chickens eat arugula shopping bags I thought Trixie Delight Daddy went to collect eggs in the morning she called another message not intelligent Otis looked at Pedro I heard near the pain last night job Pedro called Otis I heard you squawking in the flapping of wings when I came out the kids were safely in their own house you looked very proud do you think there will be more chicken talk William Vale found more chicken talk the next day under the tree more stories about Brave chickens that's boosted Willie she always has her soon the secret came out mailman found a sentence in the dirt by the mailbox drive to fast chickens cross this road s trip almost poetic poetic for a chicken that chicken right why would you can write chickens in town come see for yourself brought his small brown tent and a sleeping bag and pillow he said near the chicken yard everyone went to sleep there was a full moon or early in the morning while trip was still sleeping really let the chickens Otis smiled as he drank his coffee and soon as happened outside there was a loud howl from trip Otis open the chicken door and looked at trip clutched his pillow 50th collapsed on one side message in the dirt you snore and there is a snake in your tent a small snake slithered off into the bushes strucid trip trying to catch his breath who wrote that I walked up to them his eyes shining I'd say it was Pedro said Otis and you said Willy now everyone in town knew about the chicken talk being the mailman trip saw everyone and he told me how he was saved by chicken talk everyone in town brought more eggs and wanted to know the chicken Talk of the day and there was lots of chicken talk to hot can we have a fan much to rain we need an umbrella there are new chicks come see his favorite Ken is gold and feathers blind and black sometimes the sunlight made her feathers glean like Jewels she's quiet I like the quiet but it wasn't quiet for a long on Sunday morning early there were seven messages too many choices I'm the real Joyce no I'm not Joyce and not me and I've never been to Joyce and I will never be a Joyce no more choices but we did nothing said they'll tell us and they did names are found all over the dirt yard William Vale discovered them in the driveway and in the 10 and by the barn Jose Louisa May Alcott the real Joys Jane Nicki Emily Dickens again found one name in the dirt by the mailbox who is Belinda he called one of the Joyce's new name said Otis and then it was quiet peaceful Papa really will never be able to tell all the feather Joyce's apart no matter what they've named themselves Otis miles I know and believe me feel jealous more chicken talks any friend of them screw in the dark we're too small short sentences we love you goodnight Grace came over to look at them all Grace whispered it was you all together that was the kind of chicken talk
