All About Me
Hi there! My name is Kate Elmore and I am a math, science, and social studies coach here at John Colemon. Below is some information to help you get to know me better:
JCE History
This is my ninth year in education, all of which have been at John Colemon. This will be my first year serving as an instructional coach! I've taught 4th grade (math, science, and social studies) as well as 3rd grade. In 2018, I received the honor of being named JCE Teacher of the Year. I am so proud to call John Colemon my home!
Education
I attended college at the University of Tennessee (GO VOLS!) for five years. As an undergraduate, I majored in Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3) and also minored in Psychology. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in May 2013. In May 2014, I graduated with my Masters Degree in Child and Family Studies, with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. I recently earned my Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Carson Newman University.
Personal Life
I live in Murfreesboro with my adorable, yet mischievous Chihuahua, Sadie. In my free time I love to cook and bake, read, shop, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
