- Practice reading this story by Wyatt Campbell:

It is late. Mom is waking Kate. Kate and Mom will take a trip. They will see a lake.
"This is a big frog!" said Kate. Kate wants the frog as a pet. Kate wants to name him Jake.
Jake ate a bug. A frog eats lots of bugs. A frog can get bugs at a lake.
"Jake will be the best pet. I will make him a bed in a box," said Kate.
Mom looked sad. " A lake is the best spot for a frog," said Mom. "Jake is safe at the lake."
"A box is not a fun place. A lake is best for Jake," said Kate. Kate waved to Jake.
Jake is on a pad in the lake. Jake is safe. It is best for Jake at a lake.
