Thank you for visiting the physical education page. You will find a lot of great resources on the right side to stay active as a family. I plan to add more fun resources throughout the school year so check back every so often.
Coach Smith and I are so excited to have all our students back in the gym for PE class. The start of the year comes with a refresher on expectations and a lot of team building games.
We have also adopted a mindset of being a YETI. That is the thinking of I can't do that... YET!
I am also very excited about expanding our basketball program. More information can be found in the basketball tab to your right.
All About Mr. Simms
My name is Chance Simms and this is my fourth year teaching at JCE and fifth year teaching overall. I recently moved from the Chicago-land area and am excited to be a part of RCS and John Colemon Elementary. I will use this page to post resources to stay active at home and to also let you know what we have been doing recently in the gym.
I have two children, Emelyn (8) and Elijah (6), attending Stewartsboro Elementary. I have been married for 10 years and have two dogs Peanut and Ava. I love staying active, especially with my kids, who have recently discovered a love for pickleball!
It is always such a delight to see students work together and accomplish a goal with little direction. Seeing their minds at work and the final "AHA" moment is everything a teacher strives for.
